Another borough – and another parking ticket! With Jonny Wilkinson inbound, and without the clarity of Mr Paxman’s insight, The BFF gamely argued the case for ten minutes.

The Main Office was even called for further guidance. In spite of hearing the full story of the “good news” campaign, as well as the fact that the car was standing alone in a deserted loading bay, the ticket was issued... removed and then (after a further phone call to those in power) re-issued.

Payment or lengthy appeal was apparently the only option. We choose lengthy appeal. Message for the Mayor – three strikes and you’re off our Christmas card list.
