| A
DAY on the golf course, organised by Quest Software, raised more than
£1,300 for The British Forces Foundation.
The fund-raiser took place at The Manor House Golf Club at Castle Combe
– an outstanding 18-hole championship golf course on April 25.
The day with a bacon sandwich and ended with a superb dinner, with prizes
and a presentation to The BFF – with some great golf played in
between.
There were five teams of four, with prizes for nearest the pin and longest
hole, as well as top team and individual scores. Prizes included software,
games and a Guinness rugby shirt from Microsoft, as well as Shoe bags
and polo shirts.
“People were encouraged to make donations afterwards at the bar,
which SBL sponsored, and we watched a video about the Foundation’s
valuable work before having dinner,” said a spokesperson for Quest
Software.
“Altogether, we raised £1,370.57 on behalf of The British
Forces Foundation. Thanks also to our fellow sponsors, SBL and Microsoft,
as well as to Kay and all the staff at Castle Combe for all their help.”
