THE British Forces Foundation Trustee Katherine Jenkins launched the Charity's Lap of Honour project at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on June 11th.

The new vehicle – complete with a Union Jack roof – is now fully engaged in a ten month adventure around the country getting 50 British icons to autograph one car, and 100 companies to lend their support.

2009 marks our 10th anniversary year and this project will act as a focal point to recognise the occasion. The culmination of ten years of boosting morale will be major celebration to be held in London during the Autumn of 2009. The BFF is inviting back all those who have entertained the troops overseas which includes Status Quo, James Blunt and Katherine Jenkins.

The car, along with two fully signed accompanying albums, will then be given a high profile send-off by Bonhams. Chairman Robert Brooks is "delighted" to announce that the fastest growing auction house in the world will be dropping the hammer on Lap of Honour at next year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
